The Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce (FCCC) is a private institution. It promotes economic, commercial and scientific relations between Flanders and the People's Republic of China (PRC). The FCCC assists Flemish companies in doing business with China and supports Chinese companies wishing to invest in Flanders. The FCCC is a lobby organisation acting with the authorities in Flanders, Belgium and the European Union, as well as with official authorities in the People's Republic of China. The FCCC organises China conferences, workshops, networking lunches and meetings with high-ranking Chinese delegations. It organises missions to China, working in close cooperation with official government bodies. The FCCC disseminates business advice from China experts and also issues a China Business Weekly Newsletter. The FCCC is in charge of the secretariate-general of the EU-China Business Association (EUCBA). This is the umbrella organisation for all China associations in Europe. The EUCBA promotes economic and trading relations between the EU and China, working closely with the European Commission and the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. From 25 to 31 May, the Province of West Flanders and the Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce (FCCC) jointly organised an innovation mission to China, led by Governor Carl Decaluwé — marking 25 years of partnership between West Flanders and Zhejiang Province. Moderated by Prof. Rudy Aernoudt, the mission brought together over 40 participants from the business and education sectors to explore China’s fast-evolving innovation ecosystem.
